About Jacob "Cubby" Luján, MS, LPCC
Greetings! My name is Cubby (he/they). Welcome to my therapy practice. I am a native and lifelong resident of the Denver area with lived experiences as eclectic as my practice style. Professionally, I have served many roles. I have several years of experience in storefront customer service jobs. I worked as a supplemental instruction leader and grader during my undergraduate education. I have also worked as a private tutor, environmental laboratory analyst, automotive repair technician, gig worker (rideshare and delivery driving), and armed security guard.
Exploring our passions and interests is a cornerstone of wellness, and I have no shortage of hobbies, including martial arts, 3D printing, shooting sports, physical fitness, PC and console gaming, raising small pets, and tinkering - I perform most of my household and automotive repairs personally and enjoy building custom gaming computers, 3D printers, and firearms.
It is my sincere belief that this is revolutionary work, and every person who undertakes their journey of personal growth and wellness is a revolutionary. In a world that has in too many ways become systematically hostile toward our wellness, especially among the working class, it is nothing short of a personal revolution against oppressive systems to live one's best life. As a working-class queer person of color, I possess a certain awareness of the additional challenges that may present themselves as we strive toward our best life. Whatever your challenges may be, I seek to be a true comrade to those in search of their best selves in such a world.

Method
Diverse tools to meet the needs of the present moment.
The present moment and its needs are shaped by myriad factors: how our past experiences inform our present choices, the greater systems in which we make those choices, the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world around us, and the outcomes we desire as beliefs and feelings become action. Through a diverse blend of clinical techniques, inquiry, and warm, supportive conversation; we will explore the things that make you you and bring you closer to your ideal self.
