FAQ
What if I don't need therapy?
Relatively few people truly require clinical intervention in their mental health in order to live nominally stable, healthful lives. However, everyone can benefit from therapy and having a trained professional in the room facilitating their process of growth toward not just a nominally stable, healthful life; but the life you truly desire for yourself. Often, we find ourselves in therapy because there are people around us who needed the extra help, and instead offloaded their challenges onto us. Whatever the case may be for you, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the barriers you encounter to living your best life.
How long does therapy take?
Therapy takes as long as it needs to take. Therapy is not something we do. It's something that happens. How long the process takes to unfold depends on a number factors. Ultimately, the process is unique to each individual client and each client-therapist relationship.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently direct, private-pay only. As a candidate for licensure (PLCC), I am unable to be directly paneled with most insurance boards. Please refer to my blog post for additional information. I do offer reduced rate services on a limited basis with a fixed number of clients I can accommodate on a sliding scale fee structure. Please inquire with me as to the availability of openings for sliding scale.
What if we don't click?
I want every client and prospective client to receive the best care possible, even if it is not from me. If I am not a good fit, I invite clients to name that, and I am happy to give referrals if desired.
